THERAPEUTIC COUNSELING

Rediscover Joy as You Restore and Grow

Struggling with the emotional highs and lows of parenthood or supporting parents through their reproductive journeys can leave you feeling exhausted and overwhelmed.

  • Are you having a hard time handling tough situations?

  • Do you feel like dealing with the world is getting harder?

  • Do you want better control over how you feel and act, even when you can't change what's happening around you?

It doesn’t have to be this way. Therapy can help!

Whether you find yourself struggling along your parenting journey or you’re a provider walking this path with parents, your challenges can seem daunting and overwhelming. You can't always change what happens to you, but you can change how you respond and what support you have. Therapy can help you understand your thoughts, feelings, and actions and explore ways to find hope.

ABOUT

KATHERINE STANGLIN, LICSW

I'm Katherine Stanglin, a licensed clinical social worker (LICSW), a certified perinatal mental health provider (PMH-C), a Brainspotting® trauma practitioner, and a NeurOptimal® Neurofeedback trainer.

My career has focused on guiding families through pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and parenting. Beginning as a birth and postpartum doula and childbirth educator, these roles have influenced my education and transition into mental health care.

My approach in working together is to built on the value that you deserve compassion for where you are in life and for what you are experiencing. In our toughest times, we are each more than our challenges. We all deserve to be understood in our complexity, both the messy and the good, with compassion and respect.

This means that when we spend time together in therapy, we explore and hold respect for all aspects of who you are, your experiences, and who you want to become.
